Renowned director and choreographer Fredrik "Benke" Rydman is set to debut "Lonely Together," an innovative stage production honoring the legacy of the late Tim Bergling, known globally as Avicii. Premiering on August 29 at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, this groundbreaking show invites audiences to step beyond traditional viewing, immersing themselves directly into the performance alongside dancers and musicians.
"Lonely Together" transcends conventional theater experiences by dissolving the barriers between performers and spectators. Attendees are encouraged to move freely on the Main Stage, engaging with a narrative that delves into personal struggles and collective hope. The production features live renditions of Avicii's iconic tracks, reimagined through the talents of vocalists Peter Gardiner, Maja Rung, Fredrik and Alexander Lycke, Lisette T. Pagler, and Sofia Papadimitriou Ledarp, supported by a dynamic ensemble of dancers and musicians.
Reflecting on his collaboration with Avicii during his world tour, Rydman shared, "We often spoke about concerts as spaces where people feel free and connected. With this production, I hope to recreate that sense of unity, where the audience, musicians, dancers, and actors can share strength and find hope in each other."
