SHANGRI-LA 2025: GLASTONBURY'S RADICAL PLAYGROUND RETURNS WITH NEW STAGES AND A FIRE LINEUP

If there's one corner of Glastonbury that always keeps it weird, wonderful, and politically charged, it's Shangri-La — and in 2025, the festival’s underground heartbeat is levelling up once again.

This year, Shangri-La isn’t just throwing a party. It’s carving out space for new voices, new visions, and next-level experiences with the debut of two brand new stages and a lineup that reads like a manifesto for cultural shift.

New Stages for 2025

ARRIVALS
A historic first: Glastonbury’s first-ever South Asian dedicated space. Arrivals is a celebration of diasporic brilliance — a space fully curated by a South Asian team bringing sonic fire, radical art, and cultural heat to the fields. It’s bold, overdue, and already iconic.

NOWHERE
Replacing the legendary Gas Tower, Nowhere is the kind of immersive rave temple you only dream about. A 5,000+ capacity behemoth with 3D-mapped visuals, a hypnotic LED ceiling, and wall-to-wall basslines that warp reality. It’s not a stage — it’s a portal.

Lineup Highlights

The 2025 roster is as eclectic and defiant as the Shangri-La ethos itself:

  • Kneecap – The unruly Irish rap trio whose sets are part protest, part pure chaos.

  • Jehnny Beth – The fierce former Savages frontwoman brings her solo sonic power to the festival.

  • Bambie Thug – Punk, performance, and electronic rebellion — one of the most talked-about names right now.

  • Kae Tempest – Wordsmith, poet, and emotional grenade. Expect goosebumps.

And of course, countless more artists bending genres, smashing norms, and amplifying voices that deserve the loudest speakers.

Shangri-La Is Still the Pulse

This isn’t your average rave zone. Shangri-La is where music, art, and activism collide in a whirlwind of neon rebellion. Whether you're there to dance, connect, challenge the system, or just find your tribe under the lasers — this is where Glasto gets real.
