Music AI Secures $40M Series A Funding to Revolutionize Music Creation

In a groundbreaking move set to redefine the music industry's technological landscape, Music AI has successfully raised $40 million in Series A funding. This significant investment round was co-led by Connect Ventures—a strategic partnership between Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and NEA—and the Brazilian venture capital firm monashees. Additional participation came from notable investors including Kickstart, Samsung Next, Toba Capital, Valutia, Pelion, and prominent music figures such as Freddy Wexler, 3LAU, and Alexander23.

Music AI is renowned for its flagship product, Moises, an AI-driven application that empowers musicians and producers by providing advanced tools for music creation and editing. Since its inception, Moises has garnered a global user base exceeding 50 million and was honored as Apple's iPad App of the Year in 2024. The platform offers a suite of features, including stem separation, chord recognition, beat detection, and music transcription, enabling users to isolate individual instruments, identify chords, and transcribe music seamlessly.

The infusion of new capital is poised to accelerate Music AI's mission to democratize music innovation. CEO Geraldo Ramos emphasized the company's commitment to making cutting-edge music technology accessible to all, stating, "Securing this Series A funding underscores the real-world impact our technologies have on the creative industry. We're ready to advance our mission of making music innovation accessible to all, and we're eager to explore new possibilities with a focus on practical applications."

A distinguishing aspect of Music AI's approach is its dedication to ethical AI practices. The company's technologies are developed using fully licensed content, ensuring that creators are fairly compensated and their rights are protected. This ethical framework has positioned Music AI as a trusted leader in the integration of AI within the music sector.

The strategic involvement of investors like Connect Ventures and monashees highlights a shared vision of fostering innovation while upholding artist-friendly values. Michael Blank, Managing Partner at Connect Ventures, remarked, "We are deeply committed to partnering with ethically led AI companies that appropriately credit and compensate creators for usage of their work. Music AI's talent-friendly approach and unparalleled technology is helping them become the trusted and premier AI platform of the music industry."

As Music AI continues to evolve, the company plans to expand its technological offerings to include generative solutions such as singing voice modeling and assistive music creation tools. These advancements aim to provide creators with an even broader palette of resources to enhance their artistic expression.

With a team of over 90 collaborators across the United States, Brazil, and Europe, Music AI is well-positioned to lead the charge in AI-driven music technology, shaping the future of sound and creativity in the digital age.
