The accelerator focuses on areas such as artist-fan communities, decentralized music production and distribution, innovative ticketing solutions, music-related merchandise and collectibles, and the integration of music with interactive technology and gaming. Selected projects receive funding, mentorship, strategic advising, networking opportunities, and marketing support from both WMG and Polygon Labs.
In its inaugural round, the program received over 120 applications, selecting two standout projects: MITH and Muus Collective. MITH is a fan engagement platform collaborating with artists like Jack Harlow, offering AI-driven insights and analytics to enhance artist-fan relationships. Muus Collective is developing fashion-centric experiences that blend mobile gaming with digital collectibles, with their first fashion game set to launch in Q2 2024.
This collaboration between WMG and Polygon Labs signifies a significant step toward integrating blockchain technology into the music industry, providing artists with new avenues for monetization and fan engagement while fostering a decentralized and innovative music ecosystem.
