Brazilian DJ and producer Mochakk, born Pedro Maia, has launched his latest EP, 'From The Stars,' marking his inaugural release with the esteemed British label, Ninja Tune. This two-track offering showcases Mochakk's dynamic range and innovative approach to electronic music.
The title track, 'From The Stars,' ingeniously samples The Rah Band's 1983 classic, 'Messages From The Stars.' Mochakk masterfully transitions from laid-back vibes to energetic beats, creating a track that's both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. The second piece, 'Maria,' delivers a driving rhythm, further highlighting his versatility and production prowess.
Expressing his excitement, Mochakk shared, "It's completely bananas to release on Ninja. It's one of those stamp-of-approval moments. It's such a respected label for years where so many great albums and singles were released from artists I've listened to for years. It feels unreal. I really enjoyed that they chose two very different tracks for that EP."
